What does the stone wall in this poem suggest
A Time to Talk
When a friend calls to me from the road
/>And slows his horse to a meaning walk, l do not stand still and
look around On all the hills l have not hoed, And shout from
where l am, What is it? No, not as there is a time to talk. l
thrust my hoe in the mellow ground, Blade-end up and five feet tall,
And plod: l go up to the stone wall For a friendly visit. (this poem was written by:Robert Frost)
Maybe the stone wall suggest the walls or barriers we put up
ourselves to push out or keep out things that may intrude into our lives,
like a person who may want to have a simple conversation, so we can
continue with things like work, or life. This is actually a nice poem
basically telling u to stop what ur doing, ur fast paced life, ur work,
and reach out to others. People and relationships are important.
